ASTRO-MED 已更名为 ASTRONOVA

2016 年 5 月 18 日开始，Astro-Med, Inc. 正式在全球更名为 AstroNova, Inc.。

Astro-Med 这一名称最初是根据本公司应用数据可视化技术的两个市场决定的——航空航天和医疗。自 2013 年从医疗业务剥离出来开始，公司名中的“Med”无法继续准确描述公司业务。

因而选择了 AstroNova 这个名词，以匹配公司转型战略。“Astro”指的是公司深深扎根于航空航天业务。“Nova” 来自拉丁词“novus”，意为“新”。

AstroNova 体现了公司在航空航天领域的传统优势，以及在测试和测量、产品标识以及可应用数据可视化技术的其他领域的业务扩展。

ASTRO-MED IS NOW ASTRONOVA

On May 18th, 2016, Astro-Med, Inc. officially began doing business as AstroNova, Inc. on a worldwide basis.

The Astro-Med name was originally based on the two markets where the company applied its data visualization technology, aerospace and medical. Since seceding from the medical business in 2013, the “Med” part of the name no longer accurately described the company’s business.

AstroNova was selected to fit the company’s transformation strategy. “Astro” refers to the company’s strong roots in the aerospace business. “Nova” comes from the Latin word “novus,” meaning “new.”

AstroNova exemplifies the company’s traditional strengths in aerospace, plus its expanding presence in test and measurement, product identification and additional areas where data visualization technology can be applied.

What’s more, AstroNova also signifies the company’s operating philosophy.

The AstroNova Operating System (AOS) is a comprehensive business management process to drive operational excellence throughout a growing global organization. It represents how the business is managed to achieve continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost and growth.
